AC Milan and Liverpool meet again in the Champions League.
The revamped Champions League gets underway tonight and two giants of European football will help kick it off. AC Milan and Liverpool, who have 13 tournament wins between them, will meet at the San Siro in the latest chapter of their storybook rivalry.
The mere mention of Milan sparks memories for Liverpool fans of the ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ in 2005, when their side somehow came back from 3-0 down to prevail on penalties. Two years later, it was the Italian team who took revenge at the same stage, beating the Reds 2-1 in the final in Athens.
However, supporters of the Merseyside club not travelling to the game may need to improvise in order to watch it live. Express Sport explains how viewers can still watch at home….
Is Milan vs Liverpool on TNT Sports?
Since 2015, Europe’s top competition has been shown exclusively on TNT Sports, formerly called BT Sport. However, while TNT will still show 184 of the 204 matches live, this season’s significant format change has also sparked alterations to the coverage for the UK viewers.
Amazon Prime Video and the BBC now also have rights to air the competition until 2027. The Beeb’s coverage will be restricted to highlights, while Amazon have secured the pick of 17 Champions League games on Tuesday nights.
And the subscription service have picked Liverpool’s opening trip for one of their games. It’s left some fans panicking that they will be unable to watch Arne Slot’s side as they seek to bounce back from Saturday’s Premier League defeat to Nottingham Forest.

Can you still watch for free without Amazon Prime?
In a word, yes. In fact, there is a perfectly legitimate way in which supporters can watch the Liverpool game without being charged, as well as the pick of the Tuesday games in the second round of League Phase matches on October 1.
