A familiar face was spotted cheering on Gareth Southgate’s England side as they began their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia in Germany on Sunday evening.
England fan Andy Milne went viral for supporting England at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, with some on social media claiming that he looked like former England manager Steve McLaren.
The supporter has become a cult figure among Three Lions supporters after he was snapped in Qatar hoisting a replica of the Jules Rimet Trophy during England’s 3-0 victory against Senegal.
Fans had also nicknamed him ‘World Cup Guy’ and was also pictured following England’s Lionesses during their 2023 Women’s World Cup campaign out in Australia.
Milne, a retired teacher, was also spotted supporting Manchester United at the 2022 Carabao Cup final in Wembley.
