Valencia director Solis: Vinicius Jr cannot expect no reaction when he tells a stadium they’ll be relegated – Tribal Football

Valencia director Javier Solis has demanded an apology from Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti after yesterday’s post-match presser.

Ancelotti attacked the home fans after Vinicius Jr was the subject of racist chants during the game.

The Real winger was eventually shown a red card for slapping Hugo Duro across the face and as he walked off he gestured to the home fans with the ‘number two’ in reference to the prospect of VCF being relegated to the Segunda Division.

After Valencia’s 1-0 win, Solis responded to Ancelotti’s comments, stating: “Given the unfortunate statements by Ancelotti in which he has branded all the fans as racist, we cannot tolerate it. Possibly it is the result of an error in the language, we will have understood another word. He must apologise, in the same way that we condemn racist insults.

“I understand that they will tell Vinícius that he cannot behave like that or reproduce those gestures. I found it unpleasant, a player cannot send an entire stadium to the Segunda Division without him being convicted. Valencia will apply its internal regulations with the greatest severity and will lead to the expulsion of this or these fans, who are working on displaying the images.

“Apart from these isolated events, Valencia CF wants to thank the more than 46,000 fans for their assistance and support for the team in the game this Sunday, May 21.”
