Copa América action continues Wednesday on FS1 with Uruguay battling Colombia in the semifinals at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. The winner will move on to face CONMEBOL rival and defending Copa América champion Argentina in the tournament final on Sunday.
Colombia scored first in the first half as James Rodriguez continued his strong tournament with his sixth assist of this Copa América on a corner kick headed in by Jefferson Lerma. But Colombia suffered a huge blow late in the first half when Daniel Muñoz was sent off with his second yellow card of the first half after elbowing Manuel Ugarte.
Still, Colombia kept Uruguay out of the back of the net despite being down a man for the entire second half for its 28th straight unbeaten match, setting up a showdown with Lionel Messi & Co. on Sunday in the Copa América final.
