Fans of Manchester United are just one set of supporters set to benefit.
UEFA have announced a major change that’s set to impact supporters of Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool this season.
The governing body for European football revealed a cap on ticket prices for away fans will be introduced for continental competitions ahead of the 2024/25 campaign.
It comes after pressure from supporter groups towards UEFA, as concerns fans are being priced out of the game continue to grow.
Fans heading to matches away from home in UEFA competitions this season will pay a set price for tickets, with supporters in the Champions League forking out £50 (€60) per match.
In the Europa League, the cap has been set at £33 per match, whereas fans in the Conference League paying just £16 (€20) for the pleasure of watching their team away from home.

In a statement, UEFA said: “UEFA has today announced a reduction on the maximum ticket prices that home clubs can charge visiting fans across its three men’s club competitions – a decision that underscores UEFA’s commitment to making European football more accessible and affordable for all supporters.
“This decision, endorsed by the UEFA Club Competitions Committee, highlights the crucial role that fans play in creating the exciting atmosphere that defines the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League and UEFA Conference League and acknowledges the passionate support that fans provide their teams during crucial away matches. By making away matches more accessible to fans, UEFA aims to preserve this unique aspect of European football culture.”

The move comes ahead of a change to the UEFA competition format this season, with more matches added to the schedule.
Champions League clubs like Manchester City, Arsenal, Aston Villa and Liverpool could all play a maximum of eight away matches this season, depending on where they finish in the new-look league phase and how deep into the competition they go.
That’s an increase from six on the maximum amount of away matches a team could’ve played in last season’s Champions League.
A total of seven (City, Arsenal, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, United) English clubs are involved in European competition this season.
