Trent Alexander Arnold’s reaction to being asked about Man City’s potential treble has gone viral

Liverpool star Trent Alexander Arnold’s response to a question about Manchester City winning the treble has gone viral.

Alexander Arnold and Liverpool endured a tough season as they failed to recreate the football they produced during the 21/22 campaign.

Despite a strong end to the season, Jurgen Klopp’s men failed to secure a place in the Champions League and will have to settle for the Europa League.

City on the other hand are one win away from the treble after winning the FA Cup on Saturday.

On Sunday, Alexander Arnold was quizzed about City’s potential treble win prior to the F1 Spanish Grand Prix.

Sky Sports reporter Craig Slater said: “Just finally, City have won two parts of the treble. Do you think they are favourites to do it?”

Alexander Arnold casually replied: “Who?”, before adding: “I think Man City are always favourites for everything.”

Fans were quick to react to Alexander Arnold’s response.

One said: “Who? I can’t anymore.”

Another tweeted: “Bro was not in the same universe.”

A third fan added: “Perfect answer. And there are 115 reasons why they are always favourites for everything.”

Someone else wrote: “Hahahaha oh man.”

Whilst a fifth commented: “It’s the ‘Who’ that gets me.”

He does not care one bit 🤣

Alexander Arnold and Liverpool will be hoping to be back towards the top of the table in the 23/24 season as they face a crucial summer transfer window.

Klopp has already hinted the club will be busy in the off-season in order to build a squad capable of closing the gap between themselves and the top four.

It has been widely reported that Liverpool are closing in on a deal to sign Brighton and Hove Albion midfielder Alexis Mac Allister.

The 24-year-old is likely to be one of a few midfielders Liverpool are expected to sign.

Aside from the Argentina World Cup winner, Liverpool have also been linked with Borussia Monchengladbach’s Manu Kone and Nice midfielder Khephren Thuram.

It has been reported that Liverpool will sign at least three midfielders and potentially a defender, with Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard and Wolfsburg star Micky van de Ven linked.
