Big moves are expected to be made in the Premier League and beyond over the final two weeks of the summer transfer window. Chelsea have players to shift and an ambitious swoop for Victor Osimhen in the pipeline, with talks taking place this week.

Liverpool are also beginning to show signs of life after an unusually quiet start to the summer under new boss Arne Slot. With plenty of other things stirring in England and overseas, Express Sport is here to bring you up to speed with all the most important developments.

Tottenham exit confirmed
Tottenham youngster Jamie Donley is set to join Leyton Orient on loan for the season, according to football.london.
Donley will head to League One for his first senior loan spell after making three appearances for Spurs’ first team.
The 19-year-old striker is rated highly by Tottenham chiefs and will reportedly be handed a new contract before completing the move.
Arsenal and Liverpool battle for Belgian star
Arsenal and Liverpool have both been following the progress of Club Brugge full-back Maxim De Cuyper, according to Nieuwsblad.
The 23-year-old is unlikely to be on the move any time soon, having just signed a contract extension until 2028.
But he is gaining recognition across the continent after impressing in 55 games across all competitions last season and earning his first senior caps for Belgium.
Real Betis, Sevilla, Marseille, Ajax and Wolfsburg are also said to be interested in De Cuyper.
Rutter agrees Brighton move
Georginio Rutter has agreed to join Brighton, who intend to activate his £40million release clause.
Sky Germany claim that Rutter is keen to make the switch ‘with immediate effect’ after reaching a verbal agreement.
Leeds United forked out a total package worth £32m to lure Rutter from Hoffenheim in January last year.
The 22-year-old, who can play across the frontline, went down to the Championship with the Whites and scored seven goals last season.
Kalvin Phillips set for Ipswich medical
Ipswich Town are ‘on the brink’ of signing Kalvin Phillips on a season-long loan, according to The Telegraph.
Manchester City forked out £45million to sign Phillips from Leeds United in 2022 but the move has been a disaster, with the midfielder making just 16 Premier League appearances in two seasons.
The 28-year-old is thought to be on his way to Suffolk for a medical.
Phillips’ arrival would be a major coup for manager Kieran McKenna, who has already brought Omari Hutchinson, Jacob Greaves, Liam Delap, Conor Townsend, Aro Muric and Ben Johnson to Portman Road on permanent deals this summer.

Two Liverpool deals close
Liverpool are close to completing one exit and one arrival after a quiet start to the summer transfer window.
Teenage academy graduate Bobby Clark is set to join Jurgen Klopp’s former assistant, Pep Lijnders, at RB Salzburg after the two clubs agreed a deal worth around £8.5million.
Liverpool have also inserted a 17.5-per-cent sell-on clause, and they would have first refusal if Clark is to leave the Austrian side in future.
The Reds’ pursuit of Giorgi Mamardashvili also appears to be coming to a head.
The Valencia goalkeeper is believed to want the move after a £30m bid was submitted this week, even though it would likely see him join Bournemouth on loan before taking over from Alisson Becker as the No 1.
Jose Mourinho to raid Tottenham
Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing Sergio Reguilon to Fenerbahce this summer, reports AS.
Reguilon is all set to leave Tottenham, with the left-back not featuring in Ange Postecoglou’s first-team plans.
Mourinho brought Reguilon to Spurs during his time as manager and feels as though the Spaniard would make a splash in the Turkish Super Lig.
Galatasaray and Barcelona are also interested in Reguilon.
Tottenham already have Destiny Udogie as their starting left-back, with Ben Davies able to provide cover.
Chelsea slash asking price
Chelsea are willing to sell Romelu Lukaku to Napoli for a lower fee if it helps their pursuit of striker Victor Osimhen, according to Di Marzio.
The two clubs are engaged in talks over two separate deals that would see Lukaku head to Italy and Osimhen travel in the opposite direction.
Chelsea had been adamant in demanding almost £37million for Lukaku, who shone on loan at AS Roma last term.
But with the move for Osimhen at stake, the Blues are reportedly open to lowering their requirements.
Napoli’s latest offer includes an initial, fixed fee of just £21.4m, with add-ons bumping up the final price.
