We are now just three days away from the opening game of the Premier League season and transfer news is becoming frenzied as clubs push for late deals. Manchester United host Fulham 8pm on Friday night, by which time the club are expected to seal the signing of Matthijs de Ligt from Bayern Munich.
But Liverpool’s wait for the first signing of the Arne Slot era goes on. Martin Zubimendi has turned down a move to Anfield in favour of staying at Real Sociedad, leaving the Reds with a race against a time to get in new faces before playing Ipswich on Saturday
Meanwhile, Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are at loggerheads over a deal for Conor Gallagher. The midfielder has already travelled to Spain, but has been unable to complete a move with the two clubs so far failing to reach an agreement over terms

Palace consider third Guehi offer
Newcastle United are waiting on a response from Crystal Palace after a third bid for Marc Guehi.
Sources have told Express Sport the bid is £55million up front and the possibility of £5m in add-ons.
However, Palace reportedly valued the defender at £70m.
Liverpool linked with Williams
Liverpool are reportedly lining up a bid for Euro 2024 star Nico Williams after being rejected by Martin Zumbamendi.
The club are said to be readying a £25million bid after Barcelona ruled out a move for the Athletic Bilbao winger.
Man Utd set to complete three deals
It’s going to be a busy day at Old Trafford.
The double raid on Bayern Munich for Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs De Ligt is expected to be completed, while Aaron Wan-Bissaka has reportedly undergone a medical at West Ham.
The right-back is set to be handed a five-year deal at the London club.
