As the domestic season draws to a close in England this weekend, the summer transfer window is right around the corner. Premier League clubs, including Manchester United and Arsenal, are already working in the background to ensure this year’s recruitment drive goes smoothly ahead of next season.

It’s expected to be an unusual transfer window amid rising concerns about Financial Fair Play and the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

But the English top-flight will undoubtedly be among the world’s top-spending leagues by the time the deadline rolls around in September.

United are reportedly pushing to hijack Newcastle United’s deal for Tosin Adarabioyo.

The Fulham defender is available on a free transfer this summer and could complete one of the first high-profile moves of the off-season.

Meanwhile, Arsenal look set to say goodbye to at least one of Mikel Arteta’s players following a public admission.

Newcastle set to sign Lloyd Kelly

A deal is in place for Newcastle United to sign Lloyd Kelly on a free transfer this summer, according to the Mail.

The 25-year-old defender is set to leave AFC Bournemouth after five years, with St James’ Park his destination.

Newcastle are also said to be closing in on Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

Kieran McKenna interested in Chelsea

Kieran McKenna is interested in replacing Mauricio Pochettino as Chelsea boss, according to the Mail.

The Ipswich Town manager reportedly wants to challenge himself at the highest level amid heavyweight interest.

Brighton and Hove Albion and former club Manchester United are also said to be circling.

Any suitor would owe Ipswich around £4m in compensation to lure McKenna away from Portman Road.

Mason Greenwood drops future hint

Mason Greenwood has hinted that his future may lie away from Manchester United, according to The Sun.

It’s claimed that the 22-year-old has put his £2m Manchester mansion up for rent at £14,000-a-month.

Greenwood is expected to leave United permanently this summer amid interest from England, Spain and elsewhere.

Albert Sambi Lokonga to leave Arsenal

Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has confirmed that he is looking to leave the club this summer.

The 24-year-old midfielder has made just 39 appearances since his £17m arrival in 2021, spending this season on loan at Luton Town.

“For me, I had a discussion with Arsenal and the conclusion was the best thing for me was to leave the club, so now it’s up to my agent and the club to find something,”Lokonga said.

“I still have a contract there, 1 year plus 1 year option so let’s see what happens.”

Man Utd hijack Tosin Adarabioyo deal

Newcastle United were reportedly close to completing a deal to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer.

However, BBC Sport claim that United are pushing to recruit the Fulham defender this summer.

The Red Devils are thought to be in a tight financial position heading into the transfer window.

And a bargain deal for the 26-year-old would represent a perfect start to the INEOS era.
