Premier League teams are busy attempting to thrash out deals to bolster their squads, despite attentions being focused on Euro 2024. Manchester United will be desperate to complete their first signing of the INEOS era, while new Liverpool boss Arne Slot will want to make an impact during his first summer at Anfield.

Chelsea and Aston Villa are closing in on a swap deal after the Villans completed a separate swap deal with Everton over the weekend.

Manchester City and Arsenal are also on the hunt for fresh faces, with the Citizens getting the better of Mikel Arteta’s Gunners to clinch Premier League silverware on the final day of last season.

A whole host of players have put themselves in the shop window by starring at this summer’s Euro 2024.

And scouts from the Premier League and across Europe are watching the tournament closely to get a glimpse of the stars who could make a difference when club football returns.

Chelsea make Isak enquiry

Chelsea have enquired about signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, according to the Daily Mail.

The two clubs have been in discussions about a potential transfer, with a fee in excess of the £115million the Blues paid to land Moises Caicedo needed to get a deal over the line.

Isak has lit up the Premier League since joining the Magpies from Real Sociedad two years ago and has bagged 35 goals in 67 appearances for his current employers. He is contracted to Newcastle until the summer of 2028.

Chelsea learn Lookman transfer fee

Chelsea have been told that a move for former Fulham winger Ademola Lookman will cost them a staggering £50million, according to Italian publication Calciomercato.

The Blues have turned their attention to a new forward after missing out on Bayern Munich-bound Michael Olise.

The 26-year-old has shone for Atalanta over the last two seasons and scored a hat-trick in their Europa League final victory over Bayer Leverkusen.

Manchester United and Liverpool are reportedly also interested in a move for the ex-Leicester, Everton and Charlton player.

Liverpool set for quiet summer

Liverpool are not expected to have a blockbuster summer of transfers, according to The Mirror, despite appointing Arne Slot as their new manager.

The Reds, who finished nine points behind Premier League champions Manchester City last season, will only attempt to sign players who stand out in specific positions or if they are chasing back-up options for current starters.

Tottenham told to stump up £150m for Bowen

Tottenham have reportedly been told to pay a staggering £150million if they want to tempt West Ham into selling Jarrod Bowen this summer. The England Euro 2024 star is a target for Ange Postecoglou, who is keen to bolster his attack in north London.

According to HITC, Spurs made contact with West Ham over signing Bowen but their efforts were rebuffed. It is claimed that the Hammers will not consider selling the 27-year-old for anything less than £150m.

That figure would make Bowen the Premier League’s most expensive player by some distance, toppling the £115m Chelsea spent on Moises Caicedo last summer.

Chelsea agreement

Chelsea have a verbal agreement in place with the agents of Marc Guiu and have told Barcelona they plan to trigger the striker’s £5million release clause, according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano.

Formal steps will take place later this week and the player is expected to sign a long-term deal at Stamford Bridge.

Liverpool hijack

Liverpool may be set to hijack Manchester United’s pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee as the Merseyside giants could emerge as contenders to sign the Bologna striker, according to CaughtOffside.

The Red Devils have been heavily linked with the 23-year-old striker, who scored 12 goals in 37 appearances last season. He is contracted to Bologna until the summer of 2026.
