PSG are reportedly interested in Chelsea star Levi Colwill
Paris Saint-Germain could scupper Tottenham’s summer transfer plans by acquiring the services of Chelsea star Levi Colwill. The Ligue 1 outfit have reportedly registered an interest in signing the centre-back in what would be a big-money deal for the French giants.
Chelsea are keen to splash the cash this summer, though outgoings are viewed as being equally as important. The Blues need to raise funds to improve their Profit and Sustainability rules (PSR) status and ensure that they do not become the latest side to receive a punishment from the Premier League.
Offloading homegrown players is therefore viewed as a key element of ensuring that they stay on the right side of the regulations as the fees received will represent pure profit on their balance sheet.
Armando Broja and Ian Maatsen are among those who could depart, with Conor Gallagher also facing being forced out of Stamford Bridge. The midfielder is out of contract with Chelsea in 2025 and negotiations over a new deal are showing no signs of concluding.

Tottenham are long-term admirers of Conor Gallagher
Tottenham are long-term admirers of Gallagher and Ange Postecoglou’s side are expected to reignite their interest this summer in the hope of striking a cut-price deal for the playmaker whilst their London rivals are looking to strike quick-fire deals.
PSG could be set to throw a spanner in the works for Spurs though. According to Ben Jacobs, the Parc des Princes outfit have made contact with Colwill’s agent to explore the conditions of signing the talented defender this summer.

Chelsea are not looking to entertain any offers for their academy product, but a significant fee – which is never out of the realms of PSG – could prove too good to ignore given their financial situation. Selling Colwill for a hefty figure would grant the Blues plenty of spending power at a time when they truly need to.
The fee raised would also mean that Chelsea could reconsider whether they truly need to sell Gallagher, especially as Pochettino is keen to continue working with the England international. The midfielder remains an important figure for the Blues and has received countless messages of his support. Tottenham will therefore be hoping that PSG divert their attention to alternative defensive targets to ensure that they can strike a deal for Gallagher before it’s too late.
