Ruben Loftus-Cheek willing to take pay cut to join ex-Chelsea teammate in Italy

Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is willing to take a pay cut to push through a summer move to AC Milan, talkSPORT understands.
The Italian giants are in advanced talks with Chelsea over a move for the England international, with former teammate Fikayo Tomori understood to be encouraging him to join him at the San Siro.

As a result, Loftus-Cheek is willing to take a pay cut, the player is believed to be on more than £150,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge, in order to force through a move away.
It’s been a frustrating time for the Chelsea academy graduate with injuries seeing him struggled to live up to the early hype in his career.
Having progressed through the youth set-up, Loftus-Cheek made his senior debut for the Blues in December 2014 aged 14 before playing a bit-part role over the following years.
In 2017/18 he went out on loan to Crystal Palace where he was hugely impressive, being tipped to return to Stamford Bridge and become a mainstay in the first team.
Unfortunately for the midfielder, that hasn’t quite happened with Loftus-Cheek making just over 150 appearances for Chelsea since his debut eight and a half years ago.
Now 27 years of age, Loftus-Cheek is looking to prioritise regular first-team football as he looks to move away from west London.

Should he secure a move to AC Milan, Loftus-Cheek could be one of as many as 12 players who could leave Stamford Bridge this summer.
Mason Mount, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mateo Kovacic are among those who have also been linked with moves away from west London.
