Roy Keane left his fellow pundits and viewers in stitches once again as he delivered one of his classic one-liners after watching an explanation of why Cristiano Ronaldo wasn’t awarded a penalty on Wednesday night.

It was an evening to forget for Ronaldo as Portugal suffered a 2-0 defeat to Georgia and his frustrations were added to after he was denied what he thought was a clear penalty.

As he tried to control a cross, Ronaldo was seemingly pulled to the ground by Luka Lochoshvili, but Ukrainian referee Mykola Balakin waived play on and VAR deemed the decision correct.

There was a clear tug on the shirt and Ronaldo was booked for his protestations.

During ITV’s half-time coverage the channel’s refereeing analyst Christina Unkel gave her thoughts on the decision.

Unkel went on to to attempt to explain it, saying the Georgia player had not ‘impacted’ on Ronaldo.

Keane looked set to go on one of his rants as he said ‘of course he’s impacted, he’s pulling on his jersey!’.

However, Postecoglou then caused him to change his tune as he said it was a ‘great explanation’ from Unkel.

Keane began to laugh and then added that it was a ‘very good explanation’, causing the rest of the studio to descend into fits of giggles.
