PSG prepping offer for Arsenal defender

French giants Paris Saint-Germain are giving serious consideration to an offer for a key member of the defensive setup at Arsenal, according to reports.

The player in question? Gabriel Magalhaes.

Stopper Gabriel, of course, enjoyed another fine season at The Emirates in 2022/23, his partnership alongside William Saliba proving a cornerstone of Arsenal’s ultimately failed Premier League title challenge.

All told, the Brazilian featured from the off in all 38 of the Gunners’ league outings, notching three goals along the way.

In turn, it will no doubt come as a source of concern for those on the red half of north London to hear of one of European football’s heavyweights expressing a keen interest in Gabriel’s signature.

As per a report from Goal Brazil, PSG have set their sights firmly on the 25-year-old, with a view to next season.

Amid an ongoing search for reinforcements at the back ahead of the imminent departure of Sergio Ramos, Gabriel is viewed as the ideal addition by the powers that be at the Parc des Princes.

A proposal for his services, as a result, could soon land on the desks of those at The Emirates.

Crucially, however, it is also noted that Gabriel himself has no interest in a move away from England’s capital, excited by the prospect of lining out for Mikel Arteta’s side in the Champions League.
