Whether that’s a stein of Paulaner, or a delicious bratwurst, England’s world-famous support are making the most of it.

The cheers are turning into chants with ease too as they pay tribute to the players they hope will lead them to glory.

Heading into the clash with their Group C rivals on Sunday, creativity has reached a new peak.

And Phil Foden has been adorned with a chant of his own – so it’s lucky he’s set to start.

The Manchester City star was the Football Writers’ Player of the Season in the Premier League as he won a sixth title, amongst other accolades.

He scored 27 goals and created 12 for teammates in a stellar campaign.

And those performances have inspired England supporters into giving him a new song.

To the tune of ‘Dancing in the Dark’ by Bruce Springsteen, those waving the flag of St George have composed a worldie.

Even in the early hours of the morning they were belting it out, as talkSPORT witnessed.

Phil Foden song lyrics

To ‘Dancing in the dark’ by Bruce Springsteen

“Can’t start a fire,
“Can’t start a fire without a spark,
“Phil Foden’s on Fire…
“He’ll be playing the Germans off the park”

Supporters filled out one bar, some clad in red and white, while others wore classic bucket hats.

Beer was flowing with fans hugging in delight as they sang their hearts out.

So, how does it go? Follow the lyrics below and sing along to the video!

The video has already racked up close to 1,000,000 views on X with the song surely already one of the best at Euro 2024 so far.

Foden, buoyed by his chant, is set to start on the left-wing for Gareth Southgate.

However, former Three Lions star Peter Crouch would love to see the attacking midfield in a different role.

“I’d love to get (Phil) Foden in centrally,” Crouch told talkSPORT. “I just think that’s where he is. He’s been the best player in the Premier League for me this season in a central position.

“So hard to get them all in. I think Bellingham, as intelligent as he is, I think he can play alongside Declan Rice. There’s talk about Trent playing in there, but I think Jude Bellingham can play in there.

“Gone are the days where we have players playing in a hole that were luxury players, you know, they work as hard as your defensive midfield players so, yeah, I’d like to get Foden in centrally.

“And then I think you’ve got the width, you’d have to play Saka. I’d love to get Palmer in there but it’s not his best position out on the left, so I’d get someone like Anthony Gordon in. But I’d play three behind Kane.”
