Pep Guardiola Shuns Kylian Mbappe – “He’s Not Joining Man City” – Sportsmanor

Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola has ruled out signing Kylian Mbappe. Furthermore, the coach even hinted at the French striker’s ideal destination.

Kylian Mbappe is currently making headlines after the player revealed his wish to not extend his contract with PSG. His contract with the club is until 2024, with the option of extending it for a year. However, Mbappe has made it clear that he does not want to trigger that option.

PSG, however, does not want Mbappe to leave as a free agent if he doesn’t agree to sign an extension. Therefore, as per reports, the club is open to hearing offers for the player. The player has been linked with several clubs since the news came out. 

As per reports, Real Madrid has re-ignited their interest in signing Mbappe this summer. Manchester City were also linked with the player. However, Pep Guardiola has ruled out the possibility of signing Mbappe.

The manager shared, “We will not sign Kylian Mbappé, he’s not joining Man City — all of you know where he wants to go…”

According to reports, Mbappe’s ideal club is Real Madrid. Real Madrid was close to signing the player back in 2021. However, Mbappe did a complete U-turn and signed another contract with PSG. 

Vinicius Jr could be the key to Kylian Mbappe’s transfer to Real Madrid

With Kylian Mbappe’s future at PSG remaining uncertain, Real Madrid is looking to scoop on the situation and sign the player. However, it will not be an easy conquest for the Los Blancos.

CBS reporter Jonathan Johnson revealed that if Real Madrid want to land Mbappe, then they would have to include a player as a part of the transfer deal. The reporter named Vinicius Jr. as a possible option for the Los Blancos. 

He revealed, “I do think there’s a deal to be done with Real Madrid involving Vinícius Júnior as well. I think it would be a hard sell for the player, but I do think it would make a lot of sense both for Vinícius Mbappé, Real, and PSG to potentially do a deal that sees the two players going opposite directions, which kind of takes a lot of the financial question out of the situation.”

Vinicius Jr. is not the only player who could interest the French club. Jonathan further added, “Vini Jr. is not the only one [that PSG should look at on the Real Madrid squad]; it’s just the most obvious fit

“I think, given that both players kind of occupy a similar position as well. Like, if they’re playing out wide, they play sort of more of the left. They can both play through the center as well.”

Real Madrid sees Mbappe as the potential successor to Benzema. However, as per reports, the Los Blancos would have to wait another season before they could sign Mbappe.
