Newcastle United transfer target Tino Livramento sends message to Southampton fans amid worry

Newcastle United transfer target Tino Livramento has told Southampton fans that he’s ‘not injured’ and is ‘fine’ after he was substituted at half-time of his side’s 1-0 pre-season defeat to AZ Alkmaar on Saturday.
The 20-year-old has been hitting the transfer headlines of late, with Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United keen to take him on board ahead of the forthcoming Premier League season.
The last thing they or Southampton want is for the former Chelsea academy product to get injured because he could set to make a big-money transfer back to the Premier League or help the Saints try to make a first-time return to the Premier League.
But Tino Livramento squashed any doubts over an injury or those thinking he limped off because he posted on Twitter that it was ‘planned’ for him to only play 45 minutes.
It has been suggested that Newcastle are ‘determined’ to sign the all-action right-back and they have put in a second offer for his talents after their first approach was rejected, according to talkSPORT.
Nonetheless, this was the message Livramento sent to fans straight after yesterday’s defeat to AZ Alkmaar.

“Guys, I’m fine,” wrote the Saints fullback. “It was planned for me to play the 45 before the game. I’m not injured and I feel great after another good run out.”

Will Newcastle sign Livramento?
Eddie Howe is in need of another right-back ahead of the new Premier League season, especially with Champions League football making a return to the club.
Whilst Kieran Trippier will remain number one and keep the armband, back-up is still needed, especially if the England international were to get injured.
On one hand, Newcastle have the lure, Premier League football, Champions League football and the fact that Southampton are in the Championship to bring Livramento to St James’ Park.
But are they willing to throw perhaps record amounts, or close to that, on a player that they know will play as a back-up, but certainly has a lot of potential in his locker?
