Mourinho told he ‘sucks’ and Roma were ‘s***’ and ‘lucky’ to reach Europa League final

Antonio Cassano has continued his feud with Jose Mourinho, saying the Roma boss ‘sucks’ and his team have been ‘s***’.

The former forward, who spent some of the best years of his career with Roma, has not held back when discussing the Special One, calling his team ‘lucky’ for progressing to the Europa League final.

Roma progressed to the showpiece event against Sevilla with a narrow 1-0 aggregate victory over Bayer Leverkusen in the semi-finals – including a typically pragmatic ‘park the bus’ performance to secure a 0-0 draw in the second leg

Having won the Europa Conference League last term, it means Roma have the very real opportunity to win back-to-back European titles.

While Mourinho’s reign has been successful in terms of silverware and what looks set to be a second successive top six finish in Serie A, Cassano believes Roma have been ‘lucky’ to enjoy such success under his leadership.

Speaking on his Instagram project ‘Antonio Speaks’, Cassano said: “I start from the assumption that I am very happy, because I love Rome and its people.

“But it is not possible that from the beginning to the end there will be fights and quarrels.

“They dropped to the ground and didn’t play half an action in 98 minutes.”

Discussing Mourinho, Cassano added: “The coach will say that everything is special, but in life, as Napoleon said, he is better a lucky commander than a strong one. And he is very lucky, he is impressive.

“He sucked, but it will be said that last year he won the Conference and now he has reached the final. We will continue for results.”

He went on: “I have to talk about football and analyse the game. A rather embarrassing thing. Something you can’t understand at all.

“But what will he say? I made it to the final, I won, I don’t give a s***. Well done Rome, but they did s***.”
