Mohamed Salah’s agent has sparked a frenzy over the Liverpool ace’s future with a fiery outburst on social media.

With just nine months remaining on his current deal at Anfield, Salah is poised to enter talks with other clubs come January. Despite this, Liverpool appear unfazed, adopting a similar stance for fellow key players Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Salah, however, issued a stark reminder of his value after netting in Liverpool’s emphatic 3-0 victory against Manchester United before the international break, stating: “This is my last year with the club and I want to enjoy it,” and adding, “I feel I am free to play football we will see what happens next year.”

His comments have been followed by whispers of interest from heavyweights Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain, keen on snapping him up next season. The Merseyside outfit currently shells out a record £350,000 weekly wage for Salah, and there’s speculation they may balk at renewing such a hefty salary for the now 32-year-old star.

Amidst the growing speculation, Salah’s representative Ramy Abbas Issa took to Twitter in an attempt to set the record straight, though his message may have only stirred the pot further.

Issa’s tweet read: “FYI all those ‘journalists’ who imply having ‘inside information’ about Mohamed’s future are making claims/posts based on absolutely nothing. Just click-w***ing. ‘Sources close to Mohamed’ don’t exist. This post is really just to tell you that they don’t know.”

Saudi royalty previously tried to coax Mohamed Salah away from Anfield with an eye-watering £100million-plus offer, yet his agent Ramy Abbas insisted: “If we considered leaving LFC this year, we wouldn’t have renewed the contract last summer. Mohamed remains committed to LFC.”

Liverpool’s Egyptian magician turned down big-money moves, signing on the dotted line to stick with the Reds where he’s tallied up an impressive 214 goals and 92 assists in 352 appearances since his move from Roma in 2017. After Liverpool decimated Manchester United at Old Trafford, Feyenoord boss Arne Slot remained nonchalant about Salah’s future.

“It’s a lot of ‘if’. At this moment he is one of ours and I am really happy with him being one of ours and he played really well,” he disclosed to Sky Sports. “I don’t talk about contracts from players but I can talk for hours about how Mo played today.”

Salah, meanwhile, is set to dazzle the crowds once again at Anfield against Nottingham Forest, after kicking off the season with six contributions in as many games.
