Wrexham co-owner and Hollywood srae Ryan Reynolds has cheekily suggested that Mohamed Salah should make a sensational switch to the Welsh outfit, with his Liverpool contract winding down next summer.

Salah, with a year left on his Anfield agreement, was expected to be the subject of renewed interest from Saudi Pro League outfits this summer. However, no offers have materialised, and it appears he’ll stay put at Liverpool under new boss Arne Slot.

Liverpool have taken off to the US for their pre-season tour, gearing up for clashes with Manchester United, Arsenal, and Real Betis. Joining them across the pond will be Wrexham and their star-studded ownership.

The League One club is set to face Chelsea, another Premier League heavyweight, this Thursday, and Reynolds seized the moment to reach out to one of the league’s top talents.

Amidst promoting his latest cinematic venture ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’ alongside Hugh Jackman, Reynolds got candid in a Premier League-arranged interview.

Following Jackman’s glowing comparison of Salah to himself in terms of dedication and career longevity, Reynolds saw an opening and lobbed a personal transfer invitation.

“Salah, to even be in the same sentence as you is incredibly cool!” Jackman enthused. “And I went to see you by the way when we were filming – playing against Crystal Palace. I think you’re awesome and I think you’re amazing, and please, please, please respond to my DMs!”

Reynolds took the opportunity to make a direct appeal, looking into the camera and stating: “Mo you would be warmly embraced at the Racecourse Ground in North Wales,” he declared. “Think about it.”

Under the stewardship of Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, Wrexham has enjoyed a rapid rise. After securing consecutive promotions, they start next season in League One, with aspirations of reaching the Premier League becoming increasingly realistic.

The Welsh team gained worldwide recognition following the popular Netflix series “Welcome to Wrexham”, and they aim to further enhance their reputation this summer.
