Pochettino’s World XI with face an England XI at Old Trafford on June 12, with football legends including Roberto Carlos Gabriel Batistuta, Hernan Crespo, Nani, Francesco Totti and Patrice Evra in his squad.

His side will also boast a number of celebrities including Usain Bolt, Steven Bartlett, Tommy Fury and Lee Mack.

Pochettino explained: “I am really looking forward to getting involved in Soccer Aid this year and managing the World XI.

“It is a real pleasure to be part of a match that represents a big cultural moment in this country’s annual calendar – and rightly so, because it raises so much money for Unicef.

“I love English football stadiums, the passion the fans show for the game and the atmosphere they create, so it will be great to feel that again next month.”

Of course Pochettino could have a new permanent employer by that time as well, with Chelsea close to announcing a deal for the Argentine.
