Marcus Rashford is set to reject a move to Paris Saint-Germain and stay at Manchester United for the foreseeable future, according to reports. The 26-year-old has been tentatively linked with an exit in recent months, with PSG said to be keeping a close eye on his situation at Old Trafford.

The French giants were initially credited with an interest in Rashford two years ago but nothing materialised despite talks reportedly being held between the two camps. A potential move has once again been mooted ahead of next season, with PSG on the lookout for a new striker to replace Kylian Mbappe.

It seems Rashford is ready to snub a move to the French capital, though, with The Sun reporting that he is set on staying at United next season. It is said that he wants to play a ‘pivotal role’ in bringing the Red Devils back to the top of English football, while the new regime at Old Trafford have identified him as a key man for the future.

Rashford is thought to have impressed Erik ten Hag by ‘knuckling down’ since his off-field issues earlier in the campaign. The report adds that he is not thinking about leaving as he remains fully determined to end the season well and nail down a place in the England side ahead of this summer’s Euros.

The United academy graduate recently underlined his devotion to the club in an interview with The Players’ Tribune, saying: “If you ever question my commitment to Man United, that’s when I have to speak up. It’s like somebody questioning my entire identity, and everything I stand for as a man.

“I grew up here. I have played for this club since I was a boy. My family turned down life-changing money when I was a kid so I could wear this badge.”

Even though Rashford looks set to stay at United, a number of his team-mates could depart when the bidding opens in the summer. The likes of Jadon Sancho and Antony will reportedly be put up for sale while Casemiro and Raphael Varane have also been tipped to leave.

Scott McTominay, Harry Maguire Donny van de Beek, Christian Eriksen and Victor Lindelof are also said to be facing uncertain futures ahead of next season. United’s transfer department are thought to be putting in ‘lots of work’ to line up player sales with the aim of freeing up funds to improve the squad.
