Manchester United face new threat in bid to sign Adrien Rabiot on free transfer

Manchester United are set to face a threat from Bayern Munich over the signature of Adrien Rabiot.
The Juventus star is expected to leave the club this summer when is contract expires. While the Serie A side wanted to retain him, their chances are slim after their 10-point deduction was imposed.
This rules out Champions League football for them next season, something Manchester United are on the verge of securing.
French newspaper L’Equipe has reported United being keen on a move for Adrien Rabiot this summer, even claiming that manager Erik ten Hag has held talks with the Frenchman.

Bayern Munich want Adrien Rabiot
Manchester United now face an unwelcome threat from Bayern Munich in the race to sign Adrien Rabiot.
German newspaper BILD report Adrien Rabiot is on Bayern Munich’s list of transfer targets this summer.
The midfielder is on Bayern’s list and could be the second to join on a free transfer this summer following Konrad Laimer.
This would push Marcel Sabitzer closer to the exit door, however, it is unclear if Manchester United are keen on signing the loanee on a permanent basis.
Rabiot might find the path to first team football a little easier at United, however, Bayern Munich will offer more stability and a better shot of silverware.
Few would be surprised Rabiot snubbed United for Bayern. He turned down the chance to move to Old Trafford last year to stay at Juventus as he felt they were a safer bet.
While this was misguided, he has gone onto have a strong individual season with a career best 11 goals.
Now available on a free transfer, it is probably unsurprising that Manchester United face high-level competition for his signature.
