Manchester United are still very much active in the transfer market with just eight days until the summer window slams shut. The Red Devils have already welcomed a host of new faces but Erik ten Hag is still believed to be keen on adding to his squad.

A move for Manuel Ugarte appears to be getting closer with United having been locked in talks with PSG over the last few weeks. They are said to be pursuing either a loan or a permanent deal for the midfielder, who is keen on making the switch to Old Trafford before the all-important deadline.

United could also wave goodbye to a number of players, with the likes of Scott McTominay and Jadon Sancho linked with moves elsewhere. Last night, they confirmed the exit of Facundo Pellistri who has joined Greek outfit Panathinaikos on a permanent basis.

Man Utd open to Jadon Sancho sale

Manchester United are open to offloading Jadon Sancho before the summer transfer deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Juventus have reportedly initiated further contact over the potential signing, with Sancho among their attacking targets.

Other clubs are also said to be in the running, though, after the 24-year-old was excluded from United’s first squad of the season.

DONE DEAL! Maxi Oyedele leaves

Maxi Oyedele has left Manchester United on a permanent transfer, joining Legia Warsaw.

United confirmed the 19-year-old’s exit today following his involvement on the pre-season tour of the United States.

“My time at Manchester United has finally come to an end,” Oyedele wrote on Instagram.

“I want to say thank you to the only club I’ve ever known. Honoured to say I’ve been at the club for 12 years and had some unbelievable experiences with some amazing teammates.

“Thank you to all the coaches, staff and the fans. I will never forget the memories I have made at this club.

“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best as I leave ready to start the next chapter of my career. This club will always be my home and, once again, thank you.”

Juventus launch Jadon Sancho swoop

Juventus have launched an ‘attack’ for Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, according to reports.

RMC Sport claim talks have begun between the two clubs over a potential deal before the summer deadline.

United are said to value Sancho at around £25million, but it remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old is interested in switching to the Serie A giants.

Man Utd agree Sekou Kone deal

Manchester United have agreed a deal to sign Malian wonderkid Sekou Kone, according to Fabrizio Romano.

It’s claimed that United have beaten several clubs to the 18-year-old midfielder’s signature.

He has previously been dubbed the ‘next Yaya Toure’ after impressing with his performances for Guidars FC.

United are said to consider him one for the future alongside fellow academy signing Chido Obi Martin.

Erik ten Hag responds to Manuel Ugarte links

Erik ten Hag has remained coy on Manuel Ugarte’s potential switch from Paris Saint-Germain to Manchester United.

The Red Devils are reportedly closing in on a loan deal with an obligation to buy Ugarte next summer.

“When we have news we will bring it,” Ten Hag said in response to a question about Ugarte during his press conference on Thursday.

He added: “Be patient, sit, wait, keep working very hard; we will always try to make the best squad possible.

“We have a couple of days, and we will always improve; as long as we have the opportunity, we will look for it.”

Man Utd add 16-year-old to training

Manchester United have welcomed 16-year-old talent Jim Thwaites to first-team training ahead of Saturday’s trip to Brighton and Hove Albion.

Thwaites was among the youth players involved at Carrington on Wednesday as Erik ten Hag ramped up preparations.

United and Brighton will clash, having won their opening Premier League games of the season against Fulham and Everton, respectively.

Chilwell offered to Red Devils

United have been offered the chance to sign Ben Chilwell from Chelsea ahead of next week’s deadline.

That’s according to talkSPORT, who claim the Blues have reached out to gauge United’s interest in a move.

Chilwell has been told by Enzo Maresca that he will not be part of the squad for the Premier League season.

Fish having medical at Cardiff

United defender Will Fish is having a medical today ahead of his proposed move to Cardiff City, according to Manchester World.

The Red Devils have agreed to sell Fish to Cardiff in a deal worth up to £2m.

Barcelona weigh up Sancho bid

Barcelona are weighing up the idea of submitting a late bid for Jadon Sancho, according to Sport.

The Catalan giants are believed to view a loan move for Sancho as a potential bargain if a deal can be agreed.

However, it is said that United would demand his wages to be paid in full, which could be a problem for Barcelona.

United among clubs keen on Rabiot

United are one of several Premier League clubs with an interest in signing Adrien Rabiot on a free transfer.

That’s according to CaughtOffside, who are reporting that Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle may also table offers in the coming days.

Rabiot has been linked with United for several years without ever making the switch to Old Trafford.

He was close to joining United in 2020 but the move was thwarted by then-manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Ederson bid immediately rejected

Manchester United have seen a £42m bid for Atalanta midfielder Ederson rejected by the Italian outfit, according to Alfredo Pedulla.

It is said that United officials flew to Italy earlier this week to sort out the paperwork relating to Rasmus Hojlund’s transfer last summer.

While in the country, they spoke to Atalanta about the possibility of signing Ederson and ended up tabling a £42m bid.

However, it was immediately rejected with Atalanta not keen on selling him before the end of the window.

Robinson added to shortlist

United will consider a move for Fulham defender Antonee Robinson if the Cottagers sign Ferdi Kadioglu, according to GiveMeSport.

Kadioglu has been linked with the Red Devils and Brighton but it is said that Fulham have now joined the race.

United are no longer believed to be pursuing a deal for the Fenerbahce defender and could move for Robinson instead.

‘Verbal agreement’ reached with PSG

United appear to be making solid progress in negotiations with PSG over a move for Manuel Ugarte.

A ‘verbal agreement’ has been reached between the parties involved, according to Florian Plettenberg.

Ugarte is expected to join the Red Devils on either a permanent deal or a loan with an obligation to buy.

Things are said to be moving quickly behind the scenes with only a few minor details left to be ironed out.

Manuel Ugarte set tongues wagging last night by sending a message to departing United winger Facundo Pellistri.

After his move to Panathinaikos was confirmed, Ugarte posted a love heart in response to his farewell message on Instagram.

The two players are international team-mates for Uruguay and represented their nation at the recent Copa America.
