Man Utd star 'buys lavish £5.5m pad' in surprise location to spark transfer fears

Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana has sparked fears of a sudden transfer away from Old Trafford after reportedly splashing the cash on a lavish property overseas. Onana has produced a mixed maiden season since his £47million summer switch from Inter Milan, but his reported recent activity on the property ladder suggests he’s missing the Italian city.

The 27-year-old endured a poor start to his United career, producing a hatful of mistakes, particularly in the Champions League group stage, contributing to the club’s disastrous rock-bottom finish in Group A. He has conceded 57 goals in his first 37 appearances during a woeful second campaign under Erik ten Hag, in which United are among the worst Premier League sides in terms of allowing opposition shots.

Onana has shown glimpses of his quality stopping shots and with the ball at his feet in more recent times, though. Only three goalkeepers have kept more clean sheets than him this term, with Golden Glove leader David Raya only two ahead of his seven. But Ten Hag’s uncertain future also draws doubt over his signings, including Onana.

According to FCInterNews, the Cameroon international recently bought a stunning £5.5m eight-bedroom villa in Corbetta, located in the Milan suburbs. The report claims that Onana still loves Milan and hasn’t forgotten his spell at the San Siro, where he lifted the Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana and reached last season’s Champions League final.
