Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag says he appreciates his time with Pep Guardiola.
Ten Hag was Bayern B coach when Manchester City manager Guardiola was leading the first team.
He said, “Many people were surprised when I changed the Eredivisie for the Regionalliga, but it was an enormously valuable decision for me.
“I have never regretted it.
“I love Bayern’s mentality. They were magnificent years for me. The first one, especially, we won the League. In the second we had a bit of bad luck.
“Working alongside him (Guardiola) was like winning the lottery. I learned a lot from him. His philosophy is sensational. The offensive and attractive style that he implemented in Barcelona, Bayern and City, has made him win a lot. That same structure is what I have tried to implement at Ajax.”
