Man United: Big update on Kane negotiations with Tottenham

Man United are not optimistic about finding an agreement with Tottenham for Harry Kane this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
As previously revealed by this site (9 May) Kane, 29, is the “number one priority and top target” for the Red Devils.
But it is believed Man United feel negotiations for the England captain could drag on throughout the summer window.
A well-placed source has told Football Insider that Erik ten Hag’s side want to wrap up their business early in the off-season as they target a title challenge in the 2023-24 campaign.
Kane has just over 12 months left on his Tottenham contract and has been widely linked with Man United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.
The talismanic striker notched 30 goals and three assists in 38 Premier League games this season – a tally bettered only by Man City’s Erling Haaland.
That is despite a chaotic campaign for Tottenham which leaves them without European football for the 2023-24 campaign.
Meanwhile, United boss Ten Hag has already confirmed he is planning to add another goalscorer to his strikeforce – with Marcus Rashford the source of most of the club’s strikes this term.
Rashford has hit 30 goals across all competitions ahead of the FA Cup final on Saturday (3 June), while second-highest goalscorer Bruno Fernandes has hit just 13.
Man United will return to the Champions League at the group stage next season after a third-place Premier League finish.
The Red Devils also lifted the League Cup in February, beating Newcastle United 2-0 at Wembley.
In other news, Man United now confident they will beat Liverpool to midfielder.
