Football fans are amazed to find out Kylian Mbappe’s real name after an old FIFA card became popular online. Mbappe first made his breakthrough at French side Monaco. At the beginning of the 2016/17 season, not many people knew him outside France, but by the end of it, he was a huge name wanted by the best teams in Europe.

In FIFA 2017, Mbappe was in Monaco’s team, but he had a different name. The young player went by the surname Lottin.

His full name was Kylian Mbappe Lottin, but he’s always been known as Mbappe.

No one knows why he and his family stopped using the name Lottin. His dad used to be called Mbappe Lottin too, but now it’s just Mbappe, and Kylian’s little brother Ethan, who plays for PSG as well, did the same thing.

But fans were surprised to see the name Lottin next to Mbappe’s face on the card because they’ve only ever heard of him as Mbappe. One fan said: “They used to call him Lottin? ” Another one said: “He looks like Mbappe lmao.”

Kylian Mbappe first caught the attention of English football fans during Monaco’s Champions League last-16 match against Manchester City. Despite losing the first-leg 5-3, the young Frenchman was a standout player and scored his first Champions League goal at the Etihad Stadium.

In the second leg, he scored again, helping Monaco advance on away goals. He then netted three times in their quarter-final clash with Borussia Dortmund.

Although their European journey ended against Juventus, Mbappe scored their only goal.

His impressive season led Paris Saint-Germain to sign him, initially on loan, before they spent over £100million to secure him permanently. Since then, he has achieved everything possible in France, including helping his country win the World Cup in 2018.
