Kylian Mbappé Unsettled as Real Madrid Transfer Looms, Report Says

Kylian Mbappé will reportedly leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer when his contract expires. All reports suggest the Frenchman will sign with Real Madrid and continue his career in the Spanish capital.

However, Diario AS reports (h/t Le10Sport) that Mbappé seems unsettled by his impending departure, which hasn’t been finalized yet.

Although he informed Nasser al-Khelaïfi, his president, that he intends to leave the club when his contract expires next June, nothing has been officially announced. The strained relationship with his coach isn’t helping his situation either.

Furthermore, the outlet reveals that Mbappé didn’t anticipate having such a season. Despite being sidelined last summer and even missing the tour in Asia, PSG’s No. 7 expected to be a key player for the team. Luis Enrique’s exclusion from matches for the past two months has affected his performance.

Mbappé will aim to have a better performance in what could be his last Champions League game for PSG. The 25-year-old was a non-factor in the 3-2 first-leg loss; if he wants to help the Parisians punch their ticket to the semifinals, the Frenchman needs to be the best player on the pitch.
