Kalvin Phillips has performed well in pre-season
Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips could remain in the Premier League next season, with three clubs showing an interest in acquiring his services.
City were initially seeking a permanent sale for the midfielder, who doesn’t feature in Pep Guardiola’s plans.
However, they may be open to another loan deal following his stint at West Ham earlier this year.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Ipswich, Everton, and Fulham are eyeing up a move for Phillips as the transfer window draws to a close.
The 28-year-old is hoping for a new beginning after a challenging two years following his £45million move to the Etihad Stadium from Leeds United.
Phillips has struggled to find his feet at City and was stung by Guardiola’s public criticism over his weight gain post the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

Despite rejecting offers from other clubs at the start of last season in the hope of proving his worth to Guardiola, Phillips couldn’t establish himself as a regular in the team.
He was loaned out to West Ham in January, but that move didn’t pan out as expected.

Everton have shown interest throughout the transfer window, with Fulham and Ipswich also considering Phillips. Even if a permanent deal doesn’t materialise this summer, a loan agreement with City could still be on the cards.
The midfielder featured regularly for Guardiola’s side in pre-season and impressed when deployed as a centre-back, though he remains out of the Premier League title holders’ plans for the 2024/25 campaign.
