Juventus to open contract talks with £43m star amid Liverpool interest

Juventus are reportedly ready to open contract talks with Federico Chiesa to put Liverpool off from signing the winger.

According to TuttoJuve, the Italian giants will soon begin discussions with the Italian international over extending his stay in Turin, as well as to push Liverpool away from signing Chiesa.

The Reds have been linked with the £43m-rated Italian international for some time, and Liverpool could move for Chiesa next year if Mohamed Salah was to leave Anfield

The 25-year-old is regarded by many as one of the best wingers in world football and a player who Jurgen Klopp is believed to be a big fan of.

And Juventus are now making moves to stop Liverpool from signing Chiesa, with the Old Lady eager to engage in contract talks with the attacker.

Chiesa has been linked with Liverpool for what feels like forever, and this latest update could put a nail in the Reds’ hopes of signing the winger.

As a result, Liverpool will have to hope that Chiesa rejects Juventus’ potential advances over a new contract, something the forward could do.

The Italian giants did try to sell Chiesa this summer, and Juventus changing their tune could be enough to make the winger force a move from Turin to the Premier League.
