Jurgen Klopp is back in Liverpool for the first time since leaving the Reds
Jurgen Klopp is preparing to return to Anfield for the first time since leaving his role as Liverpool manager at the end of last season. The 56-year-old waved an emotional goodbye to the Reds on the final day of the campaign and has been enjoying his free time over the last few weeks.
Klopp has devoted much of his time to playing padel, a racket sport which bears similarities to tennis or squash and is popular in Europe. He was also spotted attending the Champions League final to watch Borussia Dortmund, one of his former clubs, take on Real Madrid at Wembley.
The former Liverpool boss is now back on Merseyside to watch pop sensation Taylor Swift, who is taking her Eras Tour to Anfield later this week. In an Instagram video posted to his account on Thursday night, Klopp sent a message to Liverpool supporters as he told them he would see them in the stands.

He said: “So, back in Liverpool, and now it’s Taylor time. So three things I had to do today. No, I had two. A barber appointment with Ummut, then we’re going out to Anfield.
“First time going to Anfield, not for a football game but in the stands and watching Taylor Swift. So yeah, I’m not Taylor made obviously, but Taylor ready. Let’s go to Anfield and yeah, have a good night, a great night would be cool. See you there, bye.”

In a Q&A with members of Liverpool staff last month, Klopp was asked what music he enjoys listening to in his spare time. According to The Athletic, he revealed that his wife Ulla had bought tickets for them to see Swift live at Anfield before singing ‘Shake It Off’, one of her hit songs, in front of the crowd.
Klopp appears to be having plenty of fun at the moment, with the German yet to confirm his next career move following his Liverpool exit last month. He previously indicated that he would take a sabbatical before thinking about joining another club, refusing to rule out the possibility of returning to management at some point.
“I will find something else maybe to do, but I will not manage a club or a country at least for a year,” he said in an interview with Liverpool’s official channels. “That’s not possible, I cannot do that and I don’t want to. That’s all.”
