Jude Bellingham could stand to pocket a cool £10million bonus if England can triumph over Spain in the Euro 2024 final. Having capped off an incredible season with Real Madrid as he became a Champions League and La Liga winner, the midfield maestro has seamlessly continued his scintillating form with the Spanish giants into the summer, becoming a linchpin for the Three Lions as they set their sights on glory this Sunday (July 14).

Bellingham’s prowess on the pitch has not only earned him silverware but also a surge in popularity, securing endorsement deals with big names like Adidas, Lucozade, and even the high-end fashion brand Louis Vuitton.

At just 21, Bellingham is already one of the most sought-after sports personalities globally as Professor Rob Wilson of Sheffield Hallam University suggests that the Birmingham-born star’s financial worth could soar if England clinches the title in Berlin, reports the Mirror.

Speaking courtesy of Saxo, Wilson said: “If we are looking at the personal brand of someone like Jude Bellingham, he is obviously someone who has had a particularly exceptional season with Real Madrid after winning the UEFA Champions League with Real Madrid and La Liga.”

Wilson added: “If he were to add the European Championships to his stable, it would be very lucrative for him. Some of that will depend on his own playing performance and, despite the first game and the stunning overhead kick, he has actually had quite a quiet tournament. He would need to play particularly well in the final.”

He explained that a player as commercially successful as Bellingham could earn huge sums due to his personal brand and potential high-profile sponsors. “In terms of what that looks like money-wise, he is already a very well endorsed athlete, but this would just serve to amplify his own personal brand and make him more attractive to additional sponsors and commercial partners.”

Wilson went on to say: “You’re probably talking double digit millions. Thats £10million upwards in additional revenue, just him personally, in the 12 months following the tournament. Depending on his retained sporting success, this could continue for many years but I would think a conservative estimate would be a £10million increase in his personal wealth as a consequence of a European Championship win.”

The England international, who celebrated his 21st birthday only two weeks ago, is estimated to be worth £39m, with his £11.4m annual wage at Real Madrid a major contributing factor to his personal fortune.

Should England beat Spain, they will earn £26million. In the event of victory, the squad would share £9.6million of this prize money. It’s believed that England players get £2,000 per appearance, but any earnings since 2007 have been donated to the England Football Foundation for distribution to charities, raising more than £5million over the past 17 years.
