Jude Bellingham had words with Harry Kane before the Bayern striker scored his penalty.
Harry Kane refused to be put off by Jude Bellingham as the Bayern Munich star fired home a penalty against Real Madrid in an enthralling Champions League semi final first leg. The La Liga side had led 1-0 at half-time through Vinicius Junior, only for the hosts to storm back at the Allianz Arena as Leroy Sane blasted in after the break.
And then it was Kane who had the chance to score his 43rd goal of the season for the German giants from the spot, after Jamal Musiala was tripped by Lucas Vazquez. But as the England captain placed the ball down, teammate Bellingham made a point of approaching him in an apparent attempt to play mind games.
Kane appeared totally unmoved by whatever Bellingham said, before the 20-year-old was ushered away by the referee. And sure enough, he duly sent Madrid keeper Andriy Lunin the wrong way to make it 2-1.
The tie eventually finished 2-2 after Madrid were given a penalty of their own, after Kim Min-jae fouled Rodrygo in the area. Again, it was Vinicius who proved the man of the moment as he fired past Manuel Neuer to set up a gripping second leg at the Bernabeu next Wednesday.

Afterwards, Kane wad duly asked about the incident with Bellingham, who was hauled off before Madrid’s late equaliser having failed to exert his usual influence. And the former Tottenham man laughed as he dismissed any claims of a confrontation.
“To be honest, I don’t know what he was saying,” he told TNT Sports. “I saw him there mumbling something, but you’d have to ask him what he actually said. Once I’m in that moment I’m in my zone and I just try and block everything out. I’m sure he was trying to say something to put me off but thankfully it was ok for me.”
Bellingham wasn’t the only one to delay proceedings as Kane prepared to step up. Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger seemed to offer keeper Lunin some last-ditch advice, only for the Ukrainian to wrongly dive to his left.

Kane also insisted that despite his incredible individual campaign, he was more concerned with helping Bayern to European glory than he was his own personal numbers. “It’s been a good season so far but it’s all about the next game, and then then big game away from home next week against Real Madrid.
“Everything we are fighting for this year is in this competition so we have to find a way to get it’s done. It’s going to be tough, obviously, Real Madrid away in the Champions League, but we’ve got to got here will full belief and we go for the win.”
