Fabrizio Romano has stated that nothing is clear so far regarding the future of Toney at Brentford, and it will take time for clarity to emerge on this issue. The Englishman is currently banned from football after being found guilty of breaching gambling rules earlier this year.

The journalist claims that Toney’s future with the London club will be discussed in November or December, with nothing concrete happening at this time. Romano adds that a “January Exit Is Possible” for the 27-year-old, but there is still no clarity over which club he might join.
Manchester United have been reported – to be interested in signing the Englishman in January after his ban period ends but could face competition from Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. According to the same reports regarding interest from United, it mentions that Brentford value him at a whopping £80 million.

Could Toney Fit In At United?
Erik ten Hag’s side signed Danish striker Rasmus Hojlund in the summer window to improve their depth in the no.9 role, but they could still look to improve their attacking options. Before his suspension, the 27-year-old was one of the most menacing and consistent strikers in the Premier League last season, scoring 20 goals.

The Englishman, who was hailed as “remarkable” by Brentford manager Thomas Frank last season, is an efficient finisher. He’s also impressive with his hold-up play, and ability to trouble defenders with his movement. The Bees’ striker can be a smart signing for any major Premier League side and could definitely add more goals to the Red Devils’ team. There is no certainty that Thomas Frank’s side will let him go, but if they do, then United could seemingly reignite their interest and further improve their frontline in January.
