Jadon Sancho in action for Manchester United against Rangers.
Jadon Sancho is reportedly on the verge of agreeing terms with Paris Saint-Germain. The 24-year-old returned to Manchester United this summer after a six-month spell on loan at Borussia Dortmund, and played in Saturday’s 2-0 pre-season win over Rangers.
The appearance was his first for the Premier League club since August and signified a huge turnaround following his public spat with manager Erik ten Hag.
The 24-year-old was accused of showing poor application in training by the Dutchman, and after hitting back via a later deleted social media post, found himself exiled from the first-team squad before his return to Germany.
He was widely expected to leave Old Trafford on a permanent deal this summer, especially when it was confirmed that Ten Hag had been handed a contract extension. However, after face-to-face talks between the pair, Sancho returned to training despite speculation still rife on his future.
However, according to Foot Mercato, PSG have been locked in talks with the former England international. And he has reportedly agreed to the terms of their contract offer, with the French giants now set to negotiate with United.
The Red Devils are said to want around £42million for Sancho, having signed him for £75m in the summer of 2021. He currently has two years left on his deal in Manchester, meaning United don’t have to guard against the possibility of losing him on a free at the end of this season.
Jadon Sancho returned to training at Carrington this month.
Sancho played 45 minutes against Rangers in Edinburgh and was expected to board the plane for the tour of the US this summer. But now United could be faced with a decision as to whether to leave him in the UK and complete a transfer.
PSG have not been the only team linked with the star. Dortmund also appeared keen on making his loan deal permanent, but Sancho’s transfer value and current wages seemingly proved major stumbling blocks.
And in an added twist, Ten Hag has also implied that Sancho will be given a clean slate at United this season. Speaking after their showdown talks, he said that both parties had put the saga behind them.

“We had a good talk. Everyone can make mistakes. We’ve moved on. This club needs good players and one thing is for sure: Jadon is a very good player. It’s good to have Jadon back .”
Sancho currently has 82 club appearances to his name, and 12 goals. Before his exile, he did start the 2022/23 League Cup final win against Newcastle in Ten Hag’s maiden season in charge.
