‘Instantly accepted’ – Liverpool in Kylian Mbappe bombshell as PSG stick it to Real Madrid

An incredible report has claimed Liverpool have come forward with a gigantic €200m offer for Kylian Mbappe, and PSG are expected to ‘instantly accept’ the bid to ensure Real Madrid are left empty-handed.
Mbappe can stake a realistic claim to being the best footballer playing the game right now. At 24, Mbappe is only now entering his prime years, yet has been operating close to a goal per game for club and country since turning 19.
Mbappe’s future is a subject that is dominating the headlines at present. The French megastar has entered the final year of his contract at PSG and the Ligue 1 giant are dead set against losing such a saleable asset to free agency.
As such, and with no new contract in Paris expected, PSG are open for business right here and now.
Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have already seen a world record €300m (approx. £259m) bid accepted by PSG.
However, Fabrizio Romano reported Mbappe has refused to enter talks regarding personal terms with the Saudi side.
Instead, the belief is Mbappe has already struck a secret agreement to join Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer of 2024. That is worst case scenario for PSG given they’d not receive a fee.
Now, according to a truly remarkable report out of Spain, Liverpool have emerged as a credible contender to sign Mbappe.
What’s more, it’s claimed PSG will gladly accept an apparent Reds offer worth €200m (approx. £172m) to prevent Mbappe from joining Real.
Relations between PSG and Real are said to be growing frostier by the day. As such, PSG will reportedly do anything they can to ensure Mbappe doesn’t wind up in the Spanish capital.
To that end, the Spanish report (as cited by the Liverpool Echo), claims Liverpool have ‘come forward with a proposal of 200 million euros’.
PSG to ‘instantly accept’ Liverpool bid – report
That figure is deemed satisfactory by PSG supremo Nasser Al-Khelaïfi who it’s expected will ‘instantly accept’ the alleged bid.
Adding meat on the bones, the report claims Jurgen Klopp has promised Mbappe he will play in his preferred left wing position. By contrast, Real boss Carlo Ancelotti views Mbappe as a direct replacement for Karim Benzema at centre-forward.
The bombshell report acknowledges Liverpool face a huge hurdle in convincing Mbappe to abandon his Real Madrid dream in favour of joining Liverpool. What’s more, the fact the Reds aren’t in the Champions League for the 2023/24 campaign won’t help.
But before Liverpool fans should get their hopes too high, it is important to note the Spanish outlet breaking this news aren’t known for being among the most reliable when it comes to transfer news.
Furthermore, the outlet is based in Catalonia which is the home of Barcelona. Certain Spanish outlets do have a history of making outlandish claims that intend to make life difficult for either Real or Barcelona depending on their allegiance.
Finally, it would appear highly unlikely Liverpool would commit to a whopping £172m on one transfer, especially as their forward line is already brimmed with talent.
