“Increasingly likely” transfer will see winger move for more than €20m

Chelsea have completed a lot of outgoing transfers already this season, and the next one looks like it’s already almost done.

Christian Pulisic didn’t attract much attention earlier in the window, but now he looks increasingly like he’s close to a move to AC Milan. We’ve heard various whispers over the last few days about the Italian side raising their offer, and tonight Gianluca Di Marzio (who is usually spot on with rumours from that part of the world) has said that the move is “increasingly likely.”

He adds that Milan have raised their bid to close to €20m plus bonuses, and charmingly describes them as having “retouched” it.

What happens next

Chelsea wanted something like €25m, Milan are now offering €20m plus bonuses. That likely puts them just days away fro agreeing a deal, and we could see Pulisic holding up a Milan shirt very soon if no unexpected snags are encountered.
