Haaland wants Oasis reunion but Noel Gallagher says ‘coward’ brother Liam doesn’t want it

Erling Haaland believes he can get Manchester City fans Noel and Liam Gallagher to make up and bring Oasis back.

However, it looks like the Citizens star will have a big task on his hand, with Noel telling talkSPORT his ‘coward’ brother is getting in the way of a potential reunion.

In an interview with Viaplay, Haaland said: “Maybe they need a Norwegian peacemaker to get them together.”

Liam went one step further and claimed he wants his club’s superstar on stage with him when it does happen, and the Norwegian striker was on board with the idea.

When asked if he could join the Gallagher brothers as a third singer, Haaland said: “That’s a good question. Yeah of course I can be, doesn’t mean I will be but of course I can be.”

However, the ex-Borussia Dortmund star’s dream isn’t happening anytime soon.

That’s according to Noel, who spoke to talkSPORT’s White and Jordan about a potential reunion and patching things up with his brother.

“Well, I put [a reunion] out there, I mean, he should call me,” he told Jim White and Simon Jordan.

“He’s forever going on about it, you’d have thought by now he’d have some kind of plan.

“And if he’s got a plan he should he should speak to me. He won’t speak to me because he’s a coward.

“But he should get some of his people, his agent, to call my people and say, ‘look, this is what we’re thinking’ and then we’ll have a conversation about it.

“Until then, he’s a little bit disingenuous.”

“I’m open to a phone call,” he continued. “Other than that, stop playing with the kids, it’s not fair on the fans.”

The brothers’ iconic band officially split up in August 2009 after the pair fell out while on tour and the two have been feuding ever since.

Haaland certainly has his work cut out…
