Firmino says he will ‘100 per cent’ cry in emotional Liverpool farewell

Liverpool star Roberto Firmino is certain it will be an emotional affair when he says goodbye to the club on Saturday.
It was revealed in March that the Brazilian forward will leave the Reds this summer after eight years at the club, winning every major trophy possible.

Liverpool’s clash against Aston Villa this weekend is their final home game of the season.
It means Anfield will get one last chance to watch the 31-year-old in a red shirt, and Firmino is set for the emotions to run high.
Recent injury cast doubt on his potential appearance against Unai Emery’s side, but he said: “If I’m not 100 per cent I would play anyway.
“If the boss don’t put me in the squad I will go [to his office]… no [joking]. It’s a special day for me, my last game at home with the fans, with the club, my team-mates.
“I try to focus on the game because it is an important game for us and after the game I will cry 100 per cent. It will be emotional for me and for my family.”
Firmino has been a huge fan favourite at Liverpool, whose fans sung his ‘Si Senor’ song non-stop in their 3-0 win at Leicester last week.

He has scored 109 goals and assisted a further 79 in 360 appearances across all competitions.
The forward’s efforts in front of goal have hugely contributed to trophy wins including the Premier League and Champions League.
Firmino is set to be sorely missed at Anfield, and he could get one last chance to show his magic on their hallowed turf.
Liverpool’s clash against Villa will have a huge effect on this season’s race for Europe.

The Reds are fifth in the table and eyeing a top four finish, whereas the Villains are seeking a return to continental football for the first time since 2010.
Firmino has never scored in six appearances against Villa, so a goal on Saturday would make his Anfield farewell even more special.
