Everton offer for Uruguayan midfielder reported Rumour Mill

Everton have supposedly lodged a firm offer for FC Midtjylland midfielder Emiliano Martinez but face competition from Bordeaux.
The 23-year-old has reportedly caught the eye of a number of clubs with his performances in Denmark where he has played for the past year or so, first on loan from Bragantino in Brazil and then on a permanent basis following a €5m move.
Montevideo-based journalist Rodri Vázquez says that Martinez will almost certainly be leaving Midtjylland this summer based on his performances and that both the Toffees and the French Ligue 1 club have solid interest.
Whether the Punta del Este-born player would qualify for a work permit to play in the Premier League is a separate issue. He has yet to make a full appearance for Uruguay’s national side.
