Donnarumma Sends a Heartfelt Message to Messi and Ramos After Final Match of the Season – PSG Talk
The runs of both Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos at Paris Saint-Germain came to a close on Saturday. PSG announced before its Ligue 1 home fixture against Clermont Foot that Ramos and Messi will not return next season.
Ramos and Messi each played in their final match with PSG against Clermont Foot on Ligue 1 matchday 38. PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma also featured in the match, and overall, he sees that it was a “great honor” to share the pitch with the two over the past two seasons.
“They’re two great players,” Donnarumma said after the match. “They’ve made history, and it’s a great honor to have been able to play with them.
“They’re two legends, and I wish them all the best for the future.”
Ramos and Messi each had a sluggish debut campaign with PSG last year, but they sure silenced many critics this season. The Spanish defender featured in 45 matches in all competitions in the campaign, while the Argentine forward blossomed as both a goal-scorer and a playmaker.
Ramos and Messi are each now on the lookout for a new club.
