Cristiano Ronaldo's uncle rushed to hospital after being involved in motorcycle crash

Cristiano Ronaldo’s uncle, Jorge Viveiros, was reportedly rushed to hospital in Jersey after being involved in a collision with a Smart car. The incident occurred in Saint Helier, the capital of Jersey, on Wednesday.

Portuguese reports suggest that firefighters had to rescue him before he was taken to hospital. After spending a few hours under observation, Viveiros was discharged and is now recuperating at home.

Viveiros is the brother of Ronaldo’s mother, Dolores Aveiro, who is often seen at his matches. Ronaldo shares a close bond with his mother and even flew back to Portugal from Saudi Arabia to celebrate her 69th birthday in January, gifting her a brand new Porsche.

Currently, Ronaldo is with Al-Nassr in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but is in the final seven months of his contract. The 39 year old footballer has yet to decide his next move, but has frequently expressed his ambition to continue playing to break more goal scoring records.

His mother wishes for him to return to Portugal and end his career with Sporting Lisbon – the club she supports and where he began his career before joining Manchester United. “Ronaldo has to come back here,” she once stated.

“If it were my choice, he would already be here. He likes to watch Sporting games.

“I’ve already told him: ‘Son, before I die, I want to see you return to Sporting’. He says: ‘Let’s see’: But if it can’t be him, then Cristianinho!”.

She even hinted that Ronaldo’s son might surpass his father’s prowess on the pitch, noting his early progress in the sport. “At his age, he plays better than Ronaldo,” she claimed.

“At that age, Ronaldo didn’t have a coach but today Ronaldo is his son’s teacher.”

She added with excitement, “He’s already saying ‘Dad, when we move to Lisbon I want to play for Sporting’. Now he’s starting out at Manchester [United]. Seeing the two of them together at Sporting was my dream, it would be spectacular.”
