Club have already turned down an official bid for £34m Liverpool target, they want more money – journalist

Eintracht Frankfurt have turned down a bid of around £21m for reported Liverpool target Jesper Lindstrom.
Lindstrom has previously been named as a player of interest to Liverpool this summer. And whilst confirming that information for CaughtOffside, journalist Christian Falk reports that the Reds aren’t the only interested party. Far from it.
“Leipzig made to Frankfurt an official offer for Jesper Lindstrom,” writes Falk. “But the €25m [£21.4m] are not enough for Frankfurter. They rejected the offer, demanding between €30-40m [£26-34m]. Lindstrom is also on the list for the English clubs Newcastle, Liverpool and Arsenal.”
Eintracht holding out on Lindstrom
Looking at the way Liverpool’s transfer plans appear to be playing out, you’d have to say that Lindstrom doesn’t appear to be a priority target.
Things are certainly more advanced for Alexis Mac Allister. Meanwhile, things also seem to be progressing well for both Khephren Thuram and Manu Kone.
With the likes of Ryan Gravenberch also figuring highly in Liverpool’s thoughts, there isn’t much room for Lindstrom.
Nevertheless, you never know. The player himself has already spoken of his desire to play for the Reds and at a maximum price of £34m, he’s incredibly well priced.
In a summer where Liverpool are watching what they spend, while also looking for quality in the market, Lindstrom ticks the boxes.
It is perhaps a concern that other clubs are also in the mix, though. Leipzig are obviously serious in their interest and Newcastle and Arsenal could easily afford to go higher the Dane, too.
So, unless Liverpool really, really want Lindstrom this summer, we can’t see it happening.
