Barcelona Are Among The Clubs Hoping To Land This Gifted Starlet: One For The Future?

In a recent tweet, renowned journalist Jorge Picon stated that Barcelona are among the clubs hoping to land Real Valladolid starlet Victor Fernandez. It has been revealed that the Catalan club could face competition in the form of Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid in the race to land the gifted youngster.

Fernandez’s Impressive Rise In Spanish Football

Fernandez has come through the ranks of Valladolid and is currently one of the most promising young players in Spanish football. The 16-year-old has made a name for himself in the youth levels of Spanish football but has still not played any first-team football yet.

The talented forward has proved himself to be a decent finisher in front of the opposition goal. However, he is still quite raw and would need time before he can taste first-team football.

Fernandez has got a bright future ahead of him and would be a great acquisition for the Catalan club in the long run. However, it won’t be easy for Barca to win the race for his services.

Barcelona Are Among The Clubs Hoping To Land Fernandez: Is He A Prospect For The Future?

Fernandez can engineer a yard of space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the vision to create some decent plays for his teammates in the final third.

The Spanish talent can shoot the ball well from long range and is a good dribbler with the ball. He usually plays as a secondary striker but can even lead the line on his own if told to do so by his manager. Still, there is still a lot of room for improvement in his game, so Barca will have to be patient with his progress if they want to see the best out of the youngster.

At 16, Fernandez has the ceiling to become a world-class player in his position someday. Hence, Barcelona boss Xavi will do well to bring him to the Nou Camp when the transfer window reopens this January or at the end of this campaign.

All in all, there is no denying that Fernandez is a prospect to watch out for in the future. Therefore, Xavi should focus on trying everything he can to lure him to the Catalan club soon.
