Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone admits his next contract could be his last.
Simeone was in Naples last week to see the city celebrate Napoli’s title and see son Giovanni.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: “I have another year on my contract, we’ll see what will happen. You find the incentives because in a club like this you often change the players and you have to change the way you are on the field. Also, football has changed.
“I think of (Diego) Godín and that generation: today it would be surpassed by the way of being on the field. Everything is faster, and I also have to update myself as a coach and in my methodologies.
“In Catania I have matured my ideas a lot. I don’t know how long I will continue training, I am 53 years old: five more? It is a job with a lot of stress, but it is also true that a few days of vacation were enough to return to the field. The grass is like a drug to us. Inter and Lazio fans ask me to come back… Who knows? I would certainly be excited.”
