Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will be aiming to oversee a dream summer transfer window in north London
Arsenal will be on the hunt for fresh faces this summer after coming agonisingly close to clinching their first Premier League titles in two decades.
The Gunners were pipped at the post by Manchester City but will be confident of finally overcoming the Citizens next time around if they can find the missing parts of the jigsaw over the coming months.
Express Sport takes a look at the ins and outs that could constitute a dream summer transfer window for Mikel Arteta’s team.
Jesus makes way for Isak
Arsenal have been on the hunt for a new striker after cooling their interest in Ivan Toney. Newcastle star Alexander Isak is at the top of their wish list alongside Ajax ace Brian Brobbey, according to the Independent. And, in Isak, the Gunners could pursue a player who has already illustrated his ability to find the back of the net in the Premier League.
Isak, who is valued at £120million according to football.london, was linked with a move to north London while he was still plying his trade for Real Sociedad two years ago. The 24-year-old opted to move to St James’ Park and has been a revelation for Eddie Howe’s side. He has netted 35 goals in all competitions for his current employers, with 21 of those strikes coming in the Premier League this season.
Isak would be guaranteed to score a hatful of goals at the Emirates Stadium thanks to the excellent service on offer, while Brobbey would also do a job if the Gunners’ pursuit of the Sweden international fails to bear fruit.

Arsenal have been tipped to sign £120million Newcastle striker Alexander Isak
RB Leipzig forward Benjamin Sesko and Sporting frontman Viktor Gyokeres are also said to be on the Arsenal radar, but the Gunners will only be able to afford one top striker to ensure they fall in line with profit and sustainability rules. Gabriel Jesus, who joined Arsenal for £45m in 2022, could be the man to be sacrificed in order to bring in a new striker, with the Brazil international playing a bit part role towards the end of the 2023/24 season.
Ajax wonderkid moves to the Emirates Stadium
Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is also keen to land a defender, with Ajax wonderkid Jorrel Hato said to be a target. Hato, who can play at centre-back or left-back, has already made 61 first-team appearances for Ajax at the age of 18 and had missed just eight minutes of Eredivisie football all season before failing to make the squad for his side’s final clash of the season against Vitesse at the weekend.

Midfielder and back-up keeper arrive
Arsenal could do with another midfielder to partner Declan Rice, with Amadou Onana, Bruno Guimaraes and Martin Zubimendi said to be of interest. But the north London giants will need to bring in money first and could cash in on Thomas Partey.
The Gunners could land another windfall if they offload Aaron Ramsdale to Chelsea after the England goalkeeper lost his place to David Raya at the start of the campaign. Arteta would then need to recruit a new back-up for Raya with money in the bank.
