Arsenal & Manchester United eye €60m-rated defender
Barcelona defender Jules Kounde has been linked with a move away from the club at the end of the season.
And a report from Spanish outlet Fichajes claims that Premier League clubs Manchester United and Arsenal are keen on securing his services this summer.
Kounde wants to play in his natural position as the central defender and a move to Manchester United or Arsenal could provide him with the platform to do so.
The Frenchman joined Barcelona last summer and has so far notched 38 appearances for the Spanish outfit, and played a key role in them winning La Liga with the best defence in the division.
Arsenal, meanwhile, need more quality cover for William Saliba and Gabriel as part of the reason their title push was derailed was because they had to start playing Rob Holding on a regular basis.
As for Manchester United, they also need cover for their main centre-back duo, especially if Harry Maguire leaves Old Trafford in the summer window.
No transfer fee for Kounde is mentioned in the report, but he is currently valued at €60m on transfermarket.com. He is also under contract with Barca until 2027.
