Mikel Arteta is reportedly plotting a raid on Real Madrid ahead of the January window
Arsenal are reportedly weighing up the possibility of signing two Real Madrid wonderkids on loan in January. The north Londoners are likely to be active in the winter market after falling nine points behind Liverpool in the Premier League title race.
Mikel Arteta could do with some extra reinforcements to give Arsenal the best chance of closing the gap before the end of the season. They might look to raid Real Madrid for two of their brightest young talents, according to The Independent.
It is said that Arsenal are keen admirers of Endrick and Arda Guler, who have struggled for regular minutes at the Bernabeu this season. Both players are said to be frustrated due to their lack of game time, with Guler thought to be particularly agitated.
Endrick and Arda Guler could reportedly be made available for loan by Real Madrid
The report adds that Real Madrid would consider sanctioning loan moves for Endrick and Guler when the market re-opens in January. Permanent deals with buy-back clauses may also be among the options on the table.
Arsenal are said to be one of several clubs ‘having a look’ at the possibility of signing one or both players. However, it remains to be seen if the Gunners will be successful in the event they decide to firm up their reported interest.
It was recently claimed by Relevo that senior board members, including club president Florentino Perez, were growing frustrated with Carlo Ancelotti over the lack of minutes given to Endrick and Guler.
Earlier this month, Ancelotti was quizzed on why the duo were being overlooked and said: “[Endrick is] ready to play, doing very well, showing a lot of quality in training. I say the same about Guler. They are young people who are pushing.

“The collective idea is to turn things around as quickly as possible. Can you do that with them? Yes, but the objective is to turn it around. That is the priority, not to give minutes to one player or another.”
Endrick joined Real Madrid in the summer following his emergence as Brazil’s most exciting prospect during his time at Palmeiras. He is yet to make a single league start for Los Blancos, though, with the majority of his minutes coming in the Champions League.
Guler, meanwhile, has started four games in La Liga and got his first assist for Real Madrid in their victory over Leganes last weekend, setting up Federico Valverde from a free-kick on the edge of the box.
