Arsenal facing big Pépé loss
One player set to leave Arsenal this summer is Nicolas Pépé.
And the North London club are already reconciled to suffering a huge financial loss on their record signing.
When they signed him from French club Lille for £72 million in 2019, they were high expectations as to what he could do in a Gunners shirt.
But he struggled for consistency, and the emergence of both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli meant that he was soon consigned to a bit part player under Mikel Arteta, with his inability to do his share of defensive work a major issue for the Spaniard.
He has just spent the season back on loan with Lille, where he has rediscovered his form, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists.
Despite that, there appears no place back for him at the Emirates, and Arsenal will look to sell him this summer, although they will only get a fraction of what they originally paid for the Ivory Coast international.
